Emmerdale star Sammy Winward has admitted that the relationship between her character Katie Sugden and Declan Macey has "come out of nowhere".
Fans will see the pair get together, while Declan's ex-wife Ella attempts to break them up.
Winward told Soaplife: "I think finding out Declan and Ella had split up was the catalyst for making Katie realise she did actually quite like him.
